For 92 years, the Good Friday Appeal has raised funds for the Royal Childrens Hospital in Melbourne. The Royal Children’s is an internationally recognised centre for leading research and education, and as the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria, provides outstanding care for children and their families in Victoria, as well as across Australia and often, overseas too.
Seeking initiatives of support for the amazing work of the Royal Childrens Hospital, in 1993 the passionate Directors at Henley Homes created a unique charity drive to raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal. Together with Villawood Properties, they created an annual charity auction, sourcing donated land and leaning on their shared trade and supplier networks to construct and donate a completed turnkey house and land package.
The first home sold generated more than $136,000 in donated funds, and to date, the Henley Homes and Villawood Properties Charity Home Auction project has raised $18,238,841 in charitable donations for the Appeal.
“We believe it’s such a good thing to do – the right thing to do, and if we manage to save one baby’s life, then it makes it all worth it.” Rob Bowen, Henley Director.
Urban Angles have been a proud marketing partner of Henley Homes since 2016, helping the team create memorable and show-stopping creative imagery that connects and captures the attention of home buyers Australia-wide. Our 3D renders, display home photography and custom floorplans have shaped successful marketing campaigns for Henley, and we are humbled to have our work support the sale of this year’s Charity Home Auction.
